The commune of Courrendlin lies in the Birs valley, 4 km as the crow flies, south of Delémont, at the exit of the Choindez valley. Its territory stretches from the Delémont plain, at 436 m a.s.l., to Montchaibeux (627 m a.s.l.) to Montchemin (870 m a.s.l.), the highest point in the municipality - 1,000 m a.s.l. forêt de la Cendre.
