Nestled in a bucolic setting in the heart of the village of Beurnevésin, along the Vendline river, a property comprising a hotel-restaurant, riding school and equestrian complex is for sale. Covering an area of 10,000 m2, the property is criss-crossed by a pretty stream that used to feed the restaurant's kitchens with fish a few years ago. The restaurant is known far and wide for its culinary specialties, including its famous perch fillets.
Both hotel and restaurant, the main building was constructed in 1850 and has been renovated several times over the years. The hotel part has been kept in excellent condition thanks to the care of the owners. Together, the café, dining room and terrace can accommodate around 130 guests. The hotel houses 5 bedrooms (2 with 4 beds and 3 doubles) with en suite bathrooms, and two dormitories.
The equestrian section is still fully exploited today, and includes some 15 stables, a large 20m x 36m riding arena with bleachers, and a bar on the east side of the building. A dry square, a barn and a tack room complete this superb equestrian complex.
In a region conducive to walking, discovering ponds and situated in the middle of nature reserves, horseback riding is king and gives this estate an interest found nowhere else

Municipality
The commune of Basse-Vendline came into being following the merger of the two former communes of Bonfol and of Beurnevésin. The merger project is accepted on May 14, 2023. The commune takes its name from the Vendline, a river that runs through the villages of Beurnevésin and de Bonfol.
As for its history, the first mention of the village's name was written in 1136. Close to Alsace and part of the beautiful Ajoie region, this commune offers its inhabitants calm and the promise of a quiet life. Its church is adorned with stained-glass windows by Stocker.
The Bonfol ponds are nearby, where three signposted hiking trails have been laid out. These trails feature several educational panels on the forests, ponds, flora and fauna. The famous Bonfol pottery (Felicitas Holzgang) is open to the public.
Nearby is the Damphreux marshland reserve. This foundation protects the marshes and ensures the survival of wetland flora and fauna.
